Matt and I were together for 10 wonderful years - met in 1998, married in 2002, until his untimely death on November 15, 2008. We have two beautiful, healthy children - Jacob (born 5/04) and Sydney (born 5/07)... the most precious gifts he could have ever given me.

That is wonderful!! I have happy goosebumps for you.

Also, I'm so happy to see you blogging here again. We've never met, so I didn't feel comfortable requesting to be added to your private blog. But I found your blog years ago through Matt Logelin and like reading about how you're doing. Happy Thanksgiving - I hope you you and yours have a great day.

You're so sweet, Lisa! I'm happy you're still reading, but don't worry- you're not missing anything. I decided not to have a separate blog. Didn't end up writing one post in it and deleted it. This is my blogging "home." =)

I am in the same boat as Lisa above - following you for years (found you via Matt's blog), but didn't feel comfortable asking about your private blog. I was happy to see you start up here again.

I'd say those cards were "lost" for a reason and now found at just the right time for him to say "hello".

I too am very glad you are back to blogging here. I also have been reading since connecting from Matt Logelin's and was always reading and hoping your family was doing well.
I lost my husband back when I was 23 and am now in my 50's. Never had any counciling and didn't know to look for groups back then. Reading what others have written on grief and moving through it to live again has sort of been good therapy for me this many years later. Thanks so much for sharing....Have a great Thanksgiving
